An Alberta Mountie has been placed on administrative duty after being charged with impaired driving.

Cst. Andrea Bole is a member with the Viking RCMP detachment.

It was last Thursday when Mounties in Killam were called to the town’s swimming pool for a report that Bole, who was off-duty at the time, had driven to the facility in an intoxicated state.

As a result of the initial investigation, there was sufficient grounds to believe that Cst. Bole had been driving and that she had been drinking.

Bole has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle is to appear August 7 in Killam provincial court. She is subject to a driving suspension, pending the court process.
