RCMP investigate stabbing at Airdrie area rest stop

AIRDRIE- RCMP are looking for a suspect after a man was stabbed at a highway rest stop north of Calgary.

Police were called to the Dickson Stevenson stop on the QE2 north of Airdrie last evening.

Paramedics say a man found at the scene was taken to a Calgary hospital in serious condition, suffering from traumatic injuries.

Mounties say the suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous, was driving a black 2009 Buick Enclave.

The Enclave was recovered in the Edmonton area late on Sunday night.

However, the suspect is still at large.

The victim is still recovering from his injuries.
