WATCH: From Red Deer to Vegas – Vellner’s Cirque du Soleil Story

A Red Deer gymnast’s is living his dream of taking take his sport in the entertainment capital of the world.

Jon Vellner started out as a competitive gymnast in Red Deer before taking his athletic ability to the ski hill as part of the Freestyle Canada development team.

Eventually, Vellner decided he wanted to be a part of the world renowned Cirque du Soleil entertainment group. Three years and over 1000 performances later, you can find Vellner under the big top at Treasure Island in Las Vegas performing in Mystere – Cirque’s longest-running stage show.
