Red Deer RCMP search for suspect in alleged indecent act

Local Mounties are looking for a suspect accused of committing an indecent act in a city park on Monday night.

RCMP say it happened around 11:15 p.m. when a woman walking her dogs in Ironstone Park was approached by a man who allegedly pulled his shorts low and put his hand inside his shorts.

Police say the woman used her cellphone to contact her husband while she ran from the area.

RCMP add the suspect did not touch the woman nor pursue her but was last seen walking eastbound toward 30 Avenue.

Extensive patrols were made in the area but the suspect wasn’t found.

He is described as Caucasian, about 6’ tall and wearing an orange hoodie and dark coloured shorts.
