Splash park pad in store for makeover
A minor makeover for the Drayton Valley Splash Park is being eyed up by Brazeau County Council in conjunction with the Town of Drayton Valley.
Brazeau County Council has budgeted a resurfacing project for the Drayton Valley Splash Park, after meeting with town officials earlier this month.
Council is setting aside over $22,000 in a joint project with the town to repair the asphalt surface of the splash park, which was built around 10 years ago. Since then freeze and thaw cycles have wreaked havoc on it, resulting in unevenness of the park and causing pieces to break off, resulting in sharp rocks.
The proposed recycled rubber overlay product would remedy the unevenness of the asphalt and the sharp rocks that have plagued users feet for years.
