Green Party names candidates for by-elections

The Green Party of Alberta has announced its candidate for an upcoming by-election in the constituency of Innisfail-Sylvan Lake.
Marco Reid, the current party president, will carry the Green banner in the central Alberta riding leading up to the July 12 vote.
“My key interest in sustainability is to bring harmony to nature and society. By bringing sustainability practices into daily living at home, in leisure or in the workplace, we can mitigate the effects of Climate Change,” says Reid. “Electing Greens in the Alberta legislature is vital to achieving these goals.”
Reid is currently enrolled at the University of Calgary and is working towards a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He is currently in a cohort which is pioneering the new Certificate of Sustainability Studies.
