TIRES SLASHED

Drayton Valley RCMP say on June 7 at 8:25 a.m. on 47 Street a complainant reporting that their tires were slashed by a known individual and that person is now threatening to wreck their vehicle.  Members made several attempts to contact the complainant to obtain additional information with negative results.  

THEFT FROM VEHICLES, ATTEMPTED BREAK AND ENTER

On June 8 from 3:33 a.m. to 10:49 a.m. there were six crimes reported to have occurred on Range Road 73 in Brazeau County. 

 

At 7:18 a.m. a report of a theft from their white 2003 Dodge Dakota.  Window broken and purse containing wallet taken.  

At 8:23 a.m. a report of theft from unlocked 2014 Grey Dodge Ram.  Several tools stolen.  Fluke multimeter, Kuny hand bag, Klein tools stolen

At 9:32 a.m. a  report of their 2014 Blue Chevrolet Truck being broken into.  Drivers side window smashed.  Video surveillance available

At 9:32 a.m. a report of their maroon, 2008 Chevrolet truck being broken into.  Passenger side window broken.  

At 10:49 a.m. a report of their Red 2012 Dodge 1500 being broken into.  Vehicle had been left unlocked.  Registration, changed stolen. 

THEFT FROM VEHICLE, MAN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF BREAK IN INSTRUMENTS, MVC

On June 9 at 1:18 a.m. on 38 Street a report came in of someone broke into their 2013 White Dodge Dart, Items stolen include hand sanitizers, old cell phones, old iPod, led light cables. 

At 2:02 a.m. on 52 Street members were on patrol when they observed 25 year old Riley VADER walking around and carrying a back pack.  VADER was arrested on an outstanding warrant, Obstruction and possession of Break in Instruments. VADER was held for a bail hearing and released for court June 19th, 2018 in Drayton Valley. 

At 3:08 a.m. on 54 Avenue members on patrol stopped to speak with two youth who were walking around.  One carrying an open case of beer, and one carrying a small amount of Marihuana and drug paraphernalia.  They were stopped due to the time of night and they were carrying back packs.  Similar descriptions to those involved in the break ins to vehicles.  

Just after 1:30 p.m. in Brazeau County on the elk River Road a report of a two vehicle head on collision.  Members attended along with EMS and Fire Department.  Minor injuries.  Ticket issued.

BREAK AND ENTERS, THEFTS

On June 10 just after 2:30 a.m. in Valley Drive Acres in Brazeau County a report came in of a break and enter to a garage.  Truck window smashed.  Police Dog Services attended.  A Bag of stolen items and break in tools were located and seized.  

At 3:36 a.m. on 52 Street a report of a possibly stolen vehicle. In the back alley behind the hotel.  

At 4:36 a.m. at Appara Shoes a report of an alarm, Members attended and noted that the back door had been forced open.  Building was cleared by members.  Nothing taken.  

At 10:07 p.m. at 7-11 a report of a 2008 dark blue Jeep liberty stolen.  Had been left running.  Phone and wallet is in the vehicle. 

TWO MEN CHARGED WITH BREAK AND ENTER

On June 11 just after 9 p.m. on 47 Street a complainant reports that a male’s from the break-ins on Thursday night has returned.  Complainant has chased them to a vacant residence.  Members attended and located 32 year old Steven Krish who was subsequently arrested for Break and Enter to residence and possession of stolen property.  The other male was not located.  Search of property next door, located 38 year old Peter Bilan who was arrested for Break and Enter and held for a hearing.  Bilan was released.

THEFT FROM VEHICLES

Police say on June 12 just before 2:30 a.m. on 48A Avenue a report of theft from vehicle.  Car alarm went off, complainant observed a white hoody with a vest ride away on a BMX bike.  HP laptop stolen.  

At 7:08 a.m. on 55 Avenue a report of break into their Dodge Ram.  Side window broken.  Unknown if anything taken.

At 9:42 a.m. on 52 Avenue a report of a theft of keys to a vehicle were stolen from inside a truck.  No damage to truck.  Truck was unlocked and rummaged through. 

Just after 3:00 p.m. on 45 Street a complainant reported that someone entered their unlocked vehicle and rummaged through the contents stealing a hunting knife in a black leather case.  Surveillance being obtained. 

At 4:12 p.m. on 47 Avenue a report of a Burgundy Ford 1 ton was stolen while parked by Shangri La Lodge. 

THEFT FROM VEHICLE, ASSAULT

On June 13 just after 8 a.m. on 55 Avenue a report came in of a window being broken on their truck sometime during the night.  Vaporizers, cigarettes stolen.  Members attended.

At 3:21 p.m. at the Coach Motel a report came in of three people fighting.  Two females and one male.   Members attended and located one male with cuts to their face.  While speaking with the injured male, one of the females entered the room of the witness and attacked them.  Female arrested and taken back to detachment.  Female charged with assault.
