Entwistle man wanted on outstanding warrants arrested

Jun 14, 2018 | 3:44 PM

An Entwistle man wanted by RCMP on nearly a dozen warrants has been arrested and is now facing three new charges, police said in a news release on Thursday.

The charges come after the Western Alberta District CRU Team said they were given information that lead them to a rural location in Yellowhead County northeast of Edson on June 8.

A warrant was obtained to enter the property, and Mounties found wanted suspect Robert William Sherwood, 35, along with Robert Brett Mcleod, 43, of Edson.

Both men were arrested and Sherwood now faces new charges including possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and two counts of failing to comply with his recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Stony Plain Provincial Court on July 3.
