Local McDonald’s manager recognized with National Award

RED DEER- McDonald’s Canada has announced that Janette Santiago, manager of the McDonald’s Restaurant in Easthill Centre, has won a 2018 Outstanding Manager of the Year award.

The award recognizes the top performing managers across the country.

In addition to her significant contribution to employee growth, sales, local marketing and restaurant operations, she continues to make a positive and strategic impact across the business.

Janette grew up in Manila, Philippines, when she was 26-years-old she moved to Red Deer and began working at McDonald’s.

She worked her way up quickly from crew member to manager.

Janette celebrated her 10 year anniversary with McDonald’s last year.

“The employees and guests make every day at McDonald’s inspiring” said Santiago. “This award is an honour, and validation that I’m doing the right things for the business and its people.”

“Janette has always put the needs of our guests first, going above and beyond and providing the highest quality of service,” said Bob Carpenter, Red Deer McDonald’s franchisee. “Janette’s work ethic is outstanding,  she treats the business as if it is her own. This award is a well-deserved achievement.”
