A police investigation is underway into a stabbing Sunday morning in Mustang Acres.

It was at about 11:20 a.m. when Red Deer RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing in the parking lot of Corral Foods on 59 Avenue after an altercation between two men.

Police say a 25-year-old man was treated at hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

At this point in the investigation, RCMP do not believe this was a random incident and do not believe there was danger to the general public.

An RCMP spokesperson says they continue to actively investigate and will issue an update as more information becomes available.
