Wile becomes third UCP nomination candidate for Red Deer – South

The latest candidate for the United Conservative Party nomination in the Red Deer – South riding says attending the party’s AGM in our city inspired her to enter the race.

Haley Wile joins Norman Wiebe and Adelle Poratto in seeking the UCP nod in Red Deer – South for next year’s provincial election.

Wile was born in Nova Scotia and has called Red Deer home for the past 13 years. She has worked in public service for 15 years and is currently the office manager for a locally-owned car dealership in Red Deer. Her husband Wendell works in the oil and gas industry.

Wile is an advocate of the energy sector and has attended many rallies in support of Canadian pipelines in B.C and Alberta.

She has been active with the constituency association in Red Deer – South, serving as VP of Outreach.

Two candidates are currently seeking the UCP nod in Red Deer – North – Cole Kander and Matt Chapin.

Current UCP MLA for Lacombe – Ponoka Ron Orr is facing a nomination challenge from Ponoka County Rita Reich.

Devin Dreeshen won the UCP nomination for Innisfail – Sylvan Lake last month.

Incumbent MLAs Jason Nixon in Rimbey – Rocky Mountain House – Sundre and Nathan Cooper iin Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills have been acclaimed as United Conservative candidates.
