High speed chase leads to two arrests West of Rocky Mountain House

Two people are facing numerous charges after a high-speed police pursuit west of Rocky Mountain House.

On May 26th at 9:00 p.m. police responded to a complaint of an erratic, possibly impaired driver from Sylvan Lake.

The suspect vehicle was located Westbound of Highway 12 toward Highway 22.

Police attempted to pull the vehicle over but it failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated, ending west of Rocky Mountain House on Highway 11 after it hit the ditch.

The car had been reported stolen from St. Albert the day prior.

A male adult driver and a female youth passenger were arrested at the scene and are facing multiple charges including possession of stolen property over $5,000, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, flight from police and carrying a concealed weapon.
