Two arrested in stolen vehicle near Wildwood, one still wanted

Two people have been taken into custody and a third person is wanted on several charges following the spotting of a stolen vehicle by the Western Alberta District Crime Reduction Team earlier this month.

Mounties say on May 20 at approximately 9 p.m., CRU members were on patrol of a rural area when they spotted a wanted male in a stolen vehicle. RCMP attempted to make contact with the vehicle when it took off from police. 

The vehicle was found a short time later and two of the three occupants were arrested without incident. 

Police Dog Services attended in search of the third suspect, but he was not located.

Adam James Barass, 33, of Yellowhead County faces three charges including possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and possession of break-in instruments.

Megan Yuhasz, 34, of Entwistle faces two charges including possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Barass has been released on bail and is due in Evansburg court today.

Yuhasz was released on a recognizance and is due in court on June 25 in Evansburg.

Police are still searching for Robert William Sherwood, 35, of Entwistle who is wanted on several Criminal Code charges including eight new charges from this incident. 

 Sherwood is described as:

–          White male, slim build
–          5’11”, 146 lbs.
–          Blonde hair, Green eyes
