THEFT FROM VEHICLES, BREAK AND ENTER

Drayton Valley RCMP say on May 17 at 8:47 a.m. on 54 Avenue a  report came in of a theft from vehicle sometime overnight.  Vehicle was unlocked.  Miscellaneous items taken.  

At 9:33 a.m. on 44 Avenue a report was received  of a unlocked vehicle being rummaged through.  Lock for tire rims stolen.

 At 2:42 p.m. on Township Road 482 in Brazeau County a complainant advised that sometime over the past month, someone entered their cabin, shed and motorhome.  Items stolen include bins, chainsaw, dishes, camping supplies, mattress and bedding, buddy heater, wiener sticks, generator.

POSSESSION OF DRUGS, THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLES

On May 18 just before 4:30 a.m. on Mackenzie Avenue a member on patrol observed a suspicious vehicle with 2 males.  Upon approaching vehicle a strong smell of marihuana was noted.  Drug paraphernalia was noted on front seat and seized.  

At 8:21 a.m. on Madsen Avenue a report came in of a theft of a 2005 blue Chevrolet Cavalier.  Complainants unlocked truck had been rummaged through and keys to vehicle were in truck. 

At 11:41 p.m. on Range Road 71 and Township Road 502 in Brazeau County a report came in of a vehicle on fire.  Fire attended and located a vehicle fully engulfed.  Registered owner spoken to and advised they were camping and reported it stolen from property. 

MULTIPLE MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS, THEFT FROM VEHICLE 

On May 19 at 3:00 a.m. in Brazeau County a report came in of a single vehicle rollover.  Two injured, non life threatening injuries.  Members and EMS attended, male driver and female occupant transported to hospital.  Matter is still under investigation. 

At 7:15 a.m. on 46 Street a complainant stated that their drivers side window was broken sometime overnight.  Vehicle was gone through and a 160 GB Classic IPOD with Velcro on back was stolen.  

At 11:16 a.m. at the Violet Grove Gravel Pit a report of a quad accident with injuries.  EMS and members attended to location where 2 individuals were transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries. 

At 10:08 p.m. on Range Road 83 and Highway 620 a report was received of a quad rollover.  Members, Fire department and EMS attended.  One female with broken femur transported to hospital. 
HOME INVASION, POSSESSION OF HERION

On May 20 just before 7 a.m. at OK Tire a report came in of a break and enter into OK Tire from the car wash next door.  Suspects were observed leaving carrying bags and wearing masks through the back fence into forested area by Sekura.  Members attended and located a mask which was seized.

At 7:04 a.m. on  52 Street a report of two masked men entered an apartment with a knife.  No injuries.  Suspects were described as approximately 6 feet tall wearing sunglasses and bandanas around their faces.  Members attended and cleared residence.  Video surveillance obtained. 

At 8:54 a.m. on  42 Avenue a complainant reported windows broken in vehicle. Sometime over night.  Unknown what was taken.  

At 9:04 a.m. at  Celebrity Estate Drive a complainant reports window of truck was broken sometime over night.  Vehicle had been gone through.  Second vehicle close by also broken into, glasses stolen.

At 11:57 a.m. at 7-11 a member on patrol conducted traffic stop.  Both occupants were impaired by drugs.  24 hour suspension to driver.  Search of vehicle produced drug paraphernalia, Heroin, Meth and needles.  Both occupants arrested for possession. 39 year old Caroline Labonte  arrested on Conditional Sentence order to refrain from drug use, held for a bail hearing. 

THEFT FROM VEHICLES, TWO INJURED IN MVC

On May 21 at 7:47 a.m. on 44 Avenue a complainant reported that their 2018 white Chevrolet Silverado was broken into sometime overnight.  Entry gained by breaking the passenger window.  Backpack with work books taken. 

Just after 10:30 a.m. on 49 Street a complainant reported that their 2015 Blue Chevrolet Equinox was broken into sometime overnight.  Vehicle windows were broken.  Tool box and small tools stolen. 

At 11:13 a.m. on  43 Street  a complainant reported the windows broken out of their Black 2018 Ford F350.  Nothing taken from vehicle. 

At 4:24 p.m. on 47 Avenue and 54 Street a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle collision.  EMS, Fire and Member attended.  2 transported to hospital with minor injuries. 

DAMAGE TO VEHICLE, BREAK AND ENTER

On May 22 just before 9:30 a.m. at OK Tire a report came in of damage to the lock on a truck parked at the OK Tire Parking lot.  Unknown if anything missing.

At 11:15 a.m. on 50 Avenue a report was received of a Break and Enter to residence within the last two hours.  Speaker, clothes and safe have ben stolen.  Television tipped over.  Members attended along with the Forensic Identification Unit from Edson.

REPORT OF ANIMAL ABUSE, FRAUDS, THEFT

On May 23 in Brazeau County at 8:21 a.m. a complainant reported that their cat was missing on the weekend, when located a zip tie had been placed around its testicles.  Members attended and spoke with complainant.  

At 10:05 a.m. a complainant communicated with a company called “Credit Max Lending Specialist” who claimed to be a loan company out of Quebec.  Complainant was asking for $160,000, however they were required to send security deposits.  A total of $8700 was sent to company.  Matter is being investigated.

At 11:49 a.m. on 43 Avenue a report that sometime on Saturday, someone scratched the drivers side of two vehicles parked on the road.  

At 2:11 p.m. in  Brazeau County a report from Sinopec of theft from a gas well lease site within the past few days.  Two deep cycle batteries were stolen, approximate value of $900. 

At 6:23 p.m. at Fas Gas a report of a young male driving a blue truck took off after filling vehicle with $33.25 worth of gas.  Video surveillance being obtained.
