Bantam AAA Braves split May Long Weekend games

The Red Deer Bantam AAA Braves went 2-2 in baseball action over the May Long Weekend.

In their opening game Saturday at Great Chief Park the Braves cruised to a 20-5 win over the South Jasper Place Jays. Brayden Harrington pitched four innings for the win. Levi Hammond went 2 for 3 at bat with 4 RBIs. Kyle Belich was 2 for 4 at bat with 3 RBIs while Adam Turgeon and Luis Gallardo each had 2 RBIs.

In their second game of the day, the Braves fell 5-3 to the St. Albert Cardinals. Luis Gallard pitched six innings, striking out two hitters and surrendering only one walk and six base hits. Dakota Clubine was 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs.

On Sunday morning the Braves fell 11-6 in extra innings to the Cardinals. Red Deer fought back to tie the game at in the bottom of the 7th inning to force the extra inning, but fell to St. Albert in the 8th inning.
