Calgary dealing with aggressive coyotes

May 10, 2018 | 6:25 AM

CALGARY- The City is using some new tactics to teach aggressive coyotes to beware of people.

Crews are shooting the animals with clay pellets from paintball guns hoping the sting will scare them off.

Staff are also blaring air horns to condition the urban coyotes to stay out of site.

Residents in some neighbourhoods have complained of coyotes entering backyards, snatching dogs off leashes and snapping at people.
