QE2 / Gaetz Avenue Interchange Update: Three-night closure of ramp from Highway 2A to Southbound QE2

RED DEER- On May 3, 4 and 5, a night closure of the ramp from Highway 2A to southbound QE2 will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m each night.

Motorists wishing to access southbound QE2 will be detoured along Highway 2A to Highway 42 to join southbound QE2. The ramp will re-open to traffic each morning.

 A detour plan is available on hwy2gaetz.com

The night closures are required to complete the erection of girders for the Gaetz Avenue bridge.

Reduced speed limits will remain in effect throughout the construction zone.

The QE2 has been reduced to 80 km/hr as work is ongoing through the day and night.

Road users are asked to drive safely and obey the speed limits through the construction zone.

The QE2 / Gaetz Avenue Interchange is scheduled to be completed this fall.
