Youth charged in Leslieville Elks Lodge arson going to trial

A male youth charged in relation the fire that destroyed the Leslieville Elks Lodge late last year is going to trial.
The hall was burned to the ground on the evening of December 29, 2017. The cause of the fire was deemed to be arson and an investigation was launched.
On January 25, Rocky Mountain House RCMP arrested a male youth and charged him with one count of arson.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, appeared in Rocky Mountain House Provincial Court on Monday where he pleaded not guilty.
