2017 assessment for Brazeau County shows road to recovery approaching
After a steep decline in total assessments for Brazeau County during the oil crash, last year’s number show a slow but steady overall improvement.
The 2017 assessment grand total was almost identical to 2016’s at $3.7 billion, with just a difference of $1.4 million between the two.
That is a great improvement compared to the assessment from 2015 to 2016, where a decrease of over $331 million was recorded.
The taxable assessment changed drastically in 2017, with over 70% of properties seeing anywhere between a -1% to -10% change or no change at all. Over one third of properties saw a price change anywhere between $-1,000 to -$24,999.
