Roughnecks honouring McBeath at final home game

Apr 2, 2018 | 6:46 AM

The Calgary Roughnecks of the National Lacrosse League are honouring Ryan McBeath.

The 17-year-old Olds native and Red Deer Optimist Chiefs forward died in a car crash March 13 near Torrington.

McBeath also played lacrosse for his hometown Olds Stingers.

The Roughnecks are donating five dollars from each ticket sold for their Saturday, April 14 home game versus the Buffalo Bandits to the McBeath Memorial Fund in support of local Olds area athletes.
