Kings and Queens curling teams medal at ACAC Championships

The Red Deer College Queens Curling team won gold at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Curling Championships this weekend in Camrose. The Kings earned silver and the mixed team placed fourth. 

The RDC Queens Curling team won ACAC gold with a 6-2 victory over MacEwan University in the finals. The Kings were defeated 8-5 by Concordia University in the finals and won silver. The RDC Mixed Curling team was edged 7-6 by the NAIT Ooks in the bronze medal game and placed fourth. 

The Queens and Kings qualify for the 2018 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA)/Curling Canada Championships March 24 to 28 in Leduc.

As well, Andrew Jones of the RDC Kings was selected to the 2017-18 ACAC Men’s Curling All-Conference team.
