Miss Rodeo Canada is happy to see the Canadian Finals Rodeo coming to Red Deer this fall.

During a visit to Red Deer on Sunday while modeling wedding gowns at the ‘With this Ring Bridal Gala’ at Westerner Park, Brittney Chomistek says after 44 years in Edmonton, it’s exciting to see a new chapter beginning for the biggest rodeo event in the country each year.

“I completely trust our CPRA, they made a good choice,” says Chomistek. “It’s exciting to see where it’s going to go. There’s always going to be bumps when you try new places but it’s so exciting to see. It will be so much fun and I’m glad to be the first Miss Rodeo Canada to be a part of that.”

Chomistek anticipates meeting a lot of new people leading up to November's CFR in Red Deer.

“You get to meet so many new friends and opportunities,” she explains. “A job opportunity might be away or a best friend coming down the road, so it’s really great to see the people and then do some bucket-list rodeos that I get to check off my list throughout the year.”

The Canadian Finals Rodeo will be held at Red Deer’s Westerner Park from Oct. 30 - Nov. 4.
