CALGARY - A man originally arrested in May faces dozens of sexual abuse charges after an additional 19 alleged victims came forward.

Calgary police say it's possible that more people will come forward after word that new charges have been laid against the former music teacher.

Investigators say Christian Allen Sarile was accused in May of using a false identity on social media to meet young girls.

Some 19 additional complainants came forward and he now faces 49 charges involving 22 girls.

Staff Sergeant Melanie Oncescu says the numbers are alarming.

She says the 27-year-old Sarile is alleged to have used social media sites to pose as a young teen male and ask to meet girls.
