Charges have been laid against the man accused in relation to a recent armed robbery in the Glendale neighbourhood.
Following the armed robbery on Nov. 27 at Corral Foods in Mustang Acres, RCMP identified the suspect and located him in a stolen Kia Sorento on Dec. 4. It had been stolen out of Red Deer the same morning, left unlocked and running.
The 19-year-old was arrested without incident.
RCMP also recovered the grey BMW used in the armed robbery on Nov. 28 when it was abandoned in the Johnstone area. A firearm was left inside. The vehicle had been stolen out of Red Deer the morning of Nov. 27 and had been left with the keys inside.
Nicholas Michael Gibson of Blackfalds faces charges related to armed robbery, possession of stolen property, pointing a firearm and failure to comply with conditions.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Red Deer on Dec. 7 at 9:30 a.m.
