A long-time Red Deer business is putting their name on one of our city's newest sports facilities.
The new speed skating oval and other amenities at Great Chief Park will be known as "Setters Place at Great Chief Park."
Setters Place is named after sponsor J.T. Setters & Sons Construction Ltd. who provided work on the enhancements, including the new pavilion building, outdoor oval and synthetic sports field.
“J.T. Setters and Sons Construction Ltd is very proud to be the sponsor of Setters Place. It is an exciting opportunity to be involved in such a great community project that will benefit the city of Red Deer for years to come,” said Casey Setters, General Manager of J.T. Setters and Sons Construction Ltd.
The sponsorship agreement between the City and J.T. Setters & Sons is worth $245,000 for seven years.
“Today with the adoption of the new name, Setters Place at Great Chief Park, we thank J.T. Setters & Sons Construction Ltd. for their partnership and commitment to sport, community, and health through sponsorship,” said Mayor Tara Veer.
Setters Place will open next month with a grand opening event to be held Saturday, Jan. 20. For more information, visit RedDeer.ca/settersplace.
The City of Red Deer is also seeking name sponsors for Discovery Canyon and the new northside community centre.
