Two men arrested after police seize multiple stolen IDs

Nov 17, 2017 | 12:37 PM

Two men are facing numerous charges after Red Deer RCMP seized a large quantity of identification, mail, cheques and credit cards stolen from roughly 15 victims.

The arrests took place November 2 when Mounties attended a hotel in response to reports of possible fraudulent activity by guests staying there.

Police allege the first suspect was in possession of stolen identification, mail, cheques and credit cards, as well as methamphetamine. A second suspect was arrested soon afterwards, with a large quantity of beef jerky seized that RCMP say was purchased with a fraudulent corporate cheque written to a bank account opened under a false name.

Jeffrey Ryan Hall, 37, faces 28 counts, including possess/traffick government documents, possession of stolen property under $5,000, theft/misuse of credit card and possession of stolen mail, among others.
