Red Deer Remembers

Nov 11, 2017 | 1:52 PM

Hundreds of people gathered for a Remembrance Day ceremony near the cenotaph at Veterans Park in downtown Red Deer Saturday morning.

It was a chance for Red Deerians to remember and pay their respects to those who have served and continue to serve our country, while honouring those who paid the ultimate price for the freedoms we all enjoy today.

The ceremony featured a reading of In Flanders Fields, playing of The Last Post, Amazing Grace, the laying of wreaths and remarks from local dignitaries.

A second Remembrance Day ceremony took place simultaneously at the Crossroads Church.
