Mounties are currently investigating after a hotel in the community of Lodgepole was robbed at gunpoint on Halloween.

Drayton Valley RCMP say they were called out to the Lodgepole Pine Inn Hotel at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday after reports of two males and one female entering the building and proceeding to rob it, with one suspect brandishing a sawed off shotgun.

The two males are described as approximately 6'2", thin and had noticeable First Nations accents. The female was described as approximately 5'5" and held the duffel bag as the a male filled it with a significant amount of cash.

All three suspects were wearing masks along with blue coveralls and gloves. No one was harmed during the incident, and the suspects evaded patrols done by Drayton Valley, Rocky Mountain House and Evansburg RCMP.

Video from inside the building is being examined by police, however due to conflicting reports the description of the suspect vehicle is unclear.

Anyone with information regarding this incident are asked to contact Drayton Valley RCMP or call Crime Stoppers.

Lodgepole is approximately 33 kilometres west of Drayton Valley.
