The Red Deer Rebels announced Thursday that they have acquired 18-year-old left-winger Lukus MacKenzie from Saskatoon.
In exchange, Red Deer gives up a 4th round pick in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.
A Calgary native, MacKenzie is currently in his third year in the WHL, having played 121 games and scoring eight goals and 16 assists. He was originally selected in the 3rd round of the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft.
This season with the Blades, MacKenzie has four assists and 22 penalty minutes in 13 games.
