Women’s Outreach set to launch Adopt-A-Family program

Your chance to help local families affected by poverty, domestic violence or other unfortunate circumstances starts November 1 with the annual Adopt-A-Family program.

The fundraising program run by the Women’s Outreach Centre in Red Deer allows you to get into the true spirit of the upcoming holiday season by sponsoring a local family in need.

This means sponsor applications will be accepted starting Wednesday, with participating families matched up with a sponsor.

The Adopt-A-Family program provides assistance throughout the year to families in need of extra support with food, clothing or other ancillary expenses.

Through this support from corporate or individual sponsors, the Women’s Outreach is able to provide some relief from financial and emotional strains being experienced by participating families.

Sponsor applications are by appointment only. To book one, call 403-347-2480.

Families wishing to be sponsored this holiday season must complete an application in person at the Women’s Outreach Centre starting November 1.

Applications will be accepted until December 14.
