The Town of Sylvan Lake has launched an online resource to help existing and potential businesses, as well as site selectors, access information about the local economy and business environment.

Localintel, a Canadian technology firm, partnered with the Town to provide entrepreneurs and small businesses with up to date information about the local market, industry-specific information, and competition analysis.

The new microsite complements the Town’s existing economic and community web materials and is available at

“The beauty of Sylvan Lake includes its recreational attractions, a rapidly growing community, and a highly skilled workforce. They all add up to being a prime location for business investment. Our new microsite, helps to ensure reliable and locally-relevant information that will contribute to the development of a business plan, and a company’s overall success, and opportunity to profit from a work-life balance.” – Vicki Kurz, Economic Development Officer

The Sylvan Lake Economic Development Department works with the Sylvan Lake business community to support and generate projects, activities, and resources that build the local economy.
