Injured hiker rescued from hiking trail

An injured hiker needed medical assistance getting off a hiking trail Sunday.
 
Emergency crews were called out to a trail near Windy Point by Abraham Lake around 6:30pm.
 
According to Deputy Fire Chief, Ivan Dykstra, the hiker sustained injuries while on the hike. 
 
Rocky Mountain House Search and Rescue, Nordegg EMS, Rocky Mountain House RCMP and Clearwater Regional Fire crews worked together to help the hiker down the mountain in a rescue basket.
 
The individual was treated for minor injuries at the Rocky Mountain House Health Centre.
