Red Deer RCMP are giving drivers a heads up as to where they can expect to see photo radar in our city over the next two weeks (June 16 to June 30)
LOCATIONS:
SCHOOL ZONES: All School Zones
PLAYGROUND ZONES: McLean Street, Vanier Drive, Lalor Drive, Davison Drive, 57 Avenue, 55 Avenue, Nolan Street, Oleander Drive, Jewell Street.
TRAFFIC CORRIDORS: HWY 11A, 50 Avenue, 49 Avenue, 49 Street, 50 Street, 32 Street, Taylor Drive
CONSTRUCTION ZONES: 67 Street, Taylor Drive
Red Deer City Council has approved the implementation of intersection speed enforcement. From April 10, 2017 to July 10, 2017, a contracted vendor will be updating automated traffic enforcement equipment utilized in the City of Red Deer. From July 11, 2017 to August 10, 2017, the City of Red Deer will be issuing warning tickets for intersection speeding offences. Commencing on August 11, 2017, violation tickets for intersection speeding offences will require payment.
Red light infractions and tickets issued by mobile photo radar units will continue to be issued as normal.
RCMP reserves the option of site/location changes without notice.
