Edmonton Police investigate fatal overnight shooting

EDMONTON- Separate shootings in Edmonton overnight Thursday have left two men in hospital.

The first shooting occured at a gas station and the second one occurred about an hour later at a strip mall — both in the city’s northeast.

Police say the victim of the first shooting wasn’t seriously hurt however the second victim died in hospital.

Investigators say 28-year-old Justin Nicholas Allen was known to frequent a pub in the area where he was found and they’d like to speak with anyone who had contact with him before he was killed.

Allen is Edmonton’s 19th homicide of the year.
