Riggers 3-0 heading into home opener

The Red Deer Riggers improved to 3-0 in Sunburst Baseball League play with a big 9-2 win Friday night in Edmonton over the Confederation Cubs.

Joel Maz hit a solo home run for Red Deer while Derrick Chapman had a four-hit night.

The Riggers play their home opener Tuesday (May 30) at Great Chief Park at 7 p.m. vs. Sherwood Park.

The club will host its annual tournament June 10-11.
