Red Deer RCMP briefs for May 5 to 10: Loaded rifle found in stolen truck
Red Deer RCMP say they made numerous arrests this week, predominantly due to concentrated police patrols in targeted areas and reports from the public.
Just after midnight on May 5, police responded to a disturbance at a downtown apartment building. They wound up arresting a 33-year-old woman and 41-year-old man for possessing what’s believed to be meth. The couple, who haven’t yet had their charges sworn before the courts, are also facing a count of resisting arrest after a brief altercation with police.

Just before midnight the same day, Mounties were on patrol downtown and located a stolen Dodge Ram. They surrounded it and took the female driver into custody. The truck had been stolen out of Stettler that day.
