RED DEER - The City of Red Deer is holding an open call for musicians to take the stage on the Ross Street Patio this summer.

“We are seeking talented, energetic performers to engage the crowds during Patio season,” said Greg Stafford, Special Events Programmer. “We have some real talent in Red Deer and are looking forward to showcasing it this summer.”

Musicians are invited to apply for a performance opportunity at one of four Friday summer concerts scheduled for June 9, July 14, August 11 and August 25. Submissions will be assessed based on quality and originality of performance as well as audience interaction and engagement. This call is open to all, although preference will be given to Red Deer and Red Deer County residents. All genres are encouraged to submit and there is no submission fee.

“The Ross Street Patio has proven to be an excellent venue to local emerging artists to gain exposure, hone their performance skills and earn some income,” said Stafford.
