The Town of Rocky Mountain House and Clearwater County have approved a draft for a new joint development area agreement.
Officials say the agreement proposes an area north of town for new industrial and commercial developments, which would have shared tax revenue.
The development would use the Town's water and wastewater facilities while the County's non-residential tax rate would apply.
Rocky Mountain House Mayor Fred Nash says the agreement is "intended to provide sustainable economic benefit to the Town and County from commercial and industrial development."
