Innisfail couple charged after RCMP seize sawed-off shotgun, drugs, and other weapons

RCMP are searching for a suspect after drugs, a firearm, and other weapons were seized from a residence in Innisfail this month.

On the morning of Feb. 15, Mounties say Innisfail General Investigation Section with support from Blackfalds GIS, SCAN (Safe Communities and Neighbourhoods), and Innisfail Detachment, executed a search warrant in the Town of Innisfail.

Quantities of cocaine, psilocybin (magic mushrooms), ecstasy (MDMA) and other unidentified drugs were seized along with a loaded sawed off shotgun (a prohibited weapon), sets of brass knuckles, ammunition and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

RCMP say a female was home at the time and arrested, then released by police. A male, 41-year-old August Baker from Innisfail is wanted on warrant.

August Baker is described 5’9” tall, 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

August Baker, along with 41-year-old Reagan Baker, are jointly charged with possession of cocaine, possession of fentanyl, possession of MDMA, possession of psilocybin, possession of a prohibited weapon (brass knuckles), possessing a loaded prohibited firearm (sawed-off shotgun), and unsafe storage of a firearm, while August is further charged with possessing a firearm while prohibited.

Reagan Baker is due in court Apr. 9.
