Local businesses preparing for legalized pot

Representatives from about 70 local employers gathered at the Radisson Hotel in Red Deer Wednesday to learn more about what impact the planned legalization of marijuana later this year could mean to their business.

Red Deer building permit numbers up, but values down in 2017

There were some positive signs in the number of building permits issued in the City of Red Deer last year.

In December, the City says 65 permits were issued valued at $4.7 million, up from 47 permits issued during the same month in 2016 valued at $6.8 million.
