Two Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools teachers have been nominated for the Alberta Teachers' Association Mac Kryzanowski Inclusive Education Award.

Former Mayor of Red Deer Morris Flewwelling is receiving an honourary doctor of laws degree from the University of Alberta today.

Among other things, he's being recognized for his six years on the U of A Senate and his ten years as Red Deer Mayor.
