Red Deer's Festival of Trees raises $1.2 million for Health Foundation

The fundraising total for this year’s Festival of Trees in Red Deer has outdone last year’s efforts.

Announced at the Festival of Trees Celebration Breakfast Tuesday morning, officials with the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation say $1.2 million was raised in 2017. 

Council briefs: Safe Harbour overflow shelter approved, sign bylaw amended

Safe Harbour Society will be able to provide 20 additional overnight shelter beds this winter.

City council approved a development permit application Monday night after Safe Harbour came forward citing insufficient overnight space at their current overnight shelter space.

RDC announces speaker for 2018 Scholarship Breakfast

It’s that time of year again – Red Deer College and RDC Athletics are set to host the annual Kings and Queens Scholarship Breakfast.

April 11 at the Harvest Centre, RDC will host keynote speaker Karl Subban, the college revealed Friday.
