Rebels fans perform miserably in latest 'Lock it or Lose it' check by RCMP

Red Deer RCMP took their 'Lock it or Lose it' public education campaign to the Enmax Centrium on Saturday night.

Along with volunteers from Citizens on Patrol, members visually checked 390 vehicles in the Westerner Park parking lots during the Red Deer Rebels game.

Red Deer RCMP seized 29 guns, four crossbows ammunition and large amounts of stolen property after a pair of searches last month. The first at a storage locker on 79 Street November 5, the second at a residence on 58 Avenue in Highland Green November 22. A 25-year-old man and 25-year-old woman face 198 charges combined.

Dozens of guns and stolen property seized in Red Deer busts

A man and woman are facing nearly 200 drug, weapons and stolen property charges after a pair of busts in Red Deer last month.

RCMP say the seizures resulted in the recovery of 29 guns, four crossbows, ammunition and stolen property including dirt bikes, identification and electronics.

Charges are pending in a suspected drunk driving crash in downtown Red Deer early Saturday morning Dec 9. RCMP confirm a truck involved in a hit and run later struck a concrete barrier near Hudson's Pub.

CALGARY -  It was just a usual commercial vehicle making the standard stop at the Coutts border crossing on December 2, on its way into Canada. However, what Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers found inside, was anything but usual.
