Queens and Burnt Lake businesses to hold another community meeting on crime

Businesses in the Queens and Burnt Lake areas west of the QEII are banding together to once again bring attention to what they say is an escalating crime problem.

Construction of regional wastewater system on time and budget

Construction on the wastewater transmission system linking Lacombe, Blackfalds and Lacombe County to Red Deer’s wastewater treatment facility is on time and on budget, officials say.

Completion of the $71 million project is scheduled for March 31, 2018.

A 28-year-old man faces charges following a lengthy foot chase with Blackfalds RCMP on Friday.

The series of events started around 2:20 a.m. when Mounties on patrol in Blackfalds came across a stolen white Ford Econoline van heading southbound on Highway 2A.
