Dignitaries, families and thousands of students gathered at Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School Tuesday for another emotional and tremendously well done Remembrance Day ceremony.

Final Art Alley installation unveiled downtown Red Deer

The final installation of the Downtown Business Association’s Art Alley project has been unveiled.

The association will be changing things up next year in favour of a different cultural initiative in an effort to mix things up for downtown businesses.

New and returning students celebrate the first day of school at Red Deer College

Over 7,500 students filled the hallways at Red Deer College today for the first day back to classes.

RDC Associate Vice President - Academic, Steve Lane, said the orientation also held this week saw over 1,200 new students entering the school eager to begin learning.

Funding for Red Deer College designated for mental health initiatives

Red Deer College is getting $205,000 per year for the next three years from the province to address mental health issues.

The funding is to be used specifically for initiatives at RDC to assist students dealing with stress, depression, helplessness and more.
