Council Adopts More Aggressive Water Conservation Plan

A new planning tool adopted by Red Deer City Council Monday is a sign that existing water conservation tactics are working.

The Water Conservation, Efficiency and Productivity Plan which sets targets through 2035, replaces an old document from 2007.

Red Deer City Council Sets 2016 Tax Rate

Red Deer City Council has set the new property tax rates for 2016.

They gave second and third reading to this year's Tax Bylaw Monday night, resulting in total tax increases of 3.13 per cent for each residential, multi family and non-residential property types.
