Rebels fans perform miserably in latest 'Lock it or Lose it' check by RCMP

Red Deer RCMP took their 'Lock it or Lose it' public education campaign to the Enmax Centrium on Saturday night.

Along with volunteers from Citizens on Patrol, members visually checked 390 vehicles in the Westerner Park parking lots during the Red Deer Rebels game.

The 2017 Festival of Trees Celebration Breakfast was held at the Holiday Inn on Gasoline Alley Tuesday, December 12. $1.2 million was raised during this year's festival.

Red Deer's Festival of Trees raises $1.2 million for Health Foundation

The fundraising total for this year’s Festival of Trees in Red Deer has outdone last year’s efforts.

Announced at the Festival of Trees Celebration Breakfast Tuesday morning, officials with the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation say $1.2 million was raised in 2017.

Safe Harbour Society will be able to provide 20 additional overnight shelter beds this winter.

City council approved a development permit application Monday night after Safe Harbour came forward citing insufficient overnight space at their current overnight shelter space.

Mounties in Ponoka are hoping the public can help them locate a vehicle involved in a fatal collision over the weekend.

It was just before 7 p.m. Sunday when RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision on the QEII Highway at the Highway 53 overpass.
