Native Friendship Centre director named to Economic Security Council

One of thirty-two Indigenous leaders appointed to a pair of new women's economic councils is from Red Deer.
 
Tanya Schur with the Red Deer Native Friendship Centre will serve on the First Nations Women's Council on Economic Security.

Thompson brings Drive to Stay Alive tour back to Red Deer

Red Deer racing star Parker Thompson paid a visit to Lindsay Thurber High School on Tuesday.
 
The pit-stop was less pedal to the metal and more peddling the advice to students that they should never drive and be on their phones at the same time.
