Arrest made in Calgary carjacking

CALGARY- A 49-year-old man is facing charges following a carjacking incident that left a man badly injured.

Investigators say the victim was outside his vehicle yesterday when another man got into his 2017 Toyota 4-Runner and drove away, running over the victim before fleeing the scene.

The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and police say he is now listed in serious but stable condition.

Daniel Everett Burt of Calgary is charged with theft of a motor vehicle and hit-and-run causing bodily harm.
