WHITBY, ON - Peewee and Midget box lacrosse teams are spending this week duking it out at the National Championships in Whitby, Ontario.

Red Deer Rider Wins Gold at North American Championships

PARKER, CO – A Red Deerian with exceptional equestrian abilities will be returning home with the title of Young Champion from the North American Junior and Young Rider Championships in Parker, Colorado.

Demolition Begins on Beloved Red Deer Arena

Demolition of the Red Deer Arena began Thursday morning.

Work is expected to take up to four weeks, with the safety of nearby structures including the curling rink, in mind.

Once the old barn is down, work on a brand new arena will get underway.

PARKER, CO - An 18-year-old from Red Deer is competing this week at the North American Junior and Young Rider Championships in Parker, Colorado.

Shelby Brost is looking to improve on the bronze medal she won last year.

Central Alberta Women Lead Team Alberta to National Lacrosse Title

Team Alberta are the women's Canadian Lacrosse National Champions.
The squad ran the table with seven wins en route to the title this past weekend in Calgary.
They defeated Team First Nations 9-2.
